Frequently asked questions

Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about ThemeWare® for Shopware 6 – so you don't have to create a ticket and wait for our reply.

The most important questions at a glance

The right ThemeWare® Edition depends on your Shopware 6 setup:

ThemeWare® Cloud Edition: ideal if you use Shopware Cloud and prefer ready-to-use solutions. You can also use it in a self-hosted shop – but note the somewhat limited range of functions.

ThemeWare® Pro Edition: the better choice if you run a self-hosted Shopware 6 system and want full control over all features. It offers the full range of functions and more extensive customisation options.

All variants are technically identical and offer the same configuration options – they only differ in their preset (the "look") and the shop logo. So you can reconfigure a "Modern" theme into a "Clean" theme and vice versa at any time.

Just pick the variant that best suits your shop right now – you can configure everything else individually later. You can download the logos, Shopping Experiences and graphics of all themes via the free ThemeWare® Utilities.

ThemeWare® does not install products, categories or Shopping Experiences in your shop, so existing data is not affected. You can easily import demo data with the free demo-data plugins from Shopware or ThemeWare® if needed.

In the demoshops we have activated many features added over the years that are of course not enabled automatically in live shops. So everything we show there you can implement yourself with your theme.

The only relevant deviation concerns the Cloud Edition: some CMS elements are currently only available in the Pro Edition (marked with the note "Pro Edition" in the demos).

No. Licences for Shopware 6 extensions apply to the domain of a main shop (= licence domain) or a Shopware installation. So you can use the extension for all sales channels (e.g. subdomains) within the same Shopware installation.

You run a Shopware update directly from the administration – under "Settings > System > Shopware Update". With regular updates, backups, checking changelogs and disabling incompatible extensions, you make the process safer and smoother.

ThemeWare® offers numerous features that support you with accessibility requirements (such as the European Accessibility Act) – for example skip links, visible focus states as well as contrast and font options.

Please note: the full accessibility of your shop also depends on your content, additional extensions and your configuration. We're continuously expanding ThemeWare®'s accessibility features to support you here.
